Sustainability requirements increased during the last years and became more specific from regulation and customer side. R&M still is on an excellent position regarding our sustainable company culture but we have to adapt our actions to the external requirements regarding document and traceability.
The EcoVadis rating is a good and accepted standard to evaluate an organization sustainability maturity level. The rating structure helps us to focus our improvement actions.
In 2023, we (Reichle & de Massari AG Group) have been awarded a silvermedal in recognition of our sustainability achievement by EcoVadis! EcoVadis provides the leading solution for monitoring sustainability in global supply chains. More than 90.000 companies worldwide have already undergone their assessments.
We are proud and delighted of receiving this award and consider it a confirmation of our efforts to incorporate sustainability into all areas of our business. Once again, we have been able to improve ourselves in the four assessment areas Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Since 2016 we are continuously tracking our performance through the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating every year. This year, we are particularly pleased with our performance in the section Labor and Human Rights, which has been highlighted with an advanced performance compared to other corporations. Overall, we are in the top 13% of companies rated by EcoVadis in the Manufacture of wiring and wiring devices industry.
